Tojinkai Jodo & Iaido

Tojinkai is based in West Brunswick and North Coburg in Melbourne's inner West and practices Zen Nihon Kendo Renmei Jodo and Iaido. The ZNKR or All Japan Kendo Federation styles (sometimes called Seitei Iaido and Jodo) are amongst the most widely practised styles of Jodo and swordsmanship in the world.

We are affiliated with the Victorian Kendo Renmei and the Australian Kendo Renmei and train under the principles established by the All Japan Kendo Federation. Muso Shinden Ryu Iaijutsu which is a Koryu (old school) system is also taught at the club for those students who have learnt the basics of sete iaido.

Training location & session times:
We train two times each week at the North Coburg Primary School Hall, 180 O'Hea st Coburg , Coburg North. Entry to the hall is via the double gates on Bishop St.

Thursday
Jodo: 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Iaido: 7:30pm to 9:00pm

Sunday
Jodo/Iaido: 9:00am to 11:00am
